Alan is finding it hard to adjust to Aussie time and he likes to wake me at 2am in the morning.....!!!!!!!
Yesterday we spent half the day in Sunbury I showed Alan the house I live in. We went and did our first grocery shop together I now have seen what Alan is like in the supermarket he see's something awwww he goes and puts in in the trolley then he says at the checkout god that was expensive.......hmmmmmm....if you didn't buy all that stuff it wouldn't have been PML....AND TEABAGS OMG AUSTRALIA IS GOING TO RUN OUT BEFORE HE GOES HOME.
We have some more pics to post and we will do this in the next few days.
Alan cooked for me the first night in Lancefield.....I think he was cooking for an army the plate was piled higher than mount Everest. it was my turn to cook on Wednesday night we had chicken gnocchi...Alan had never had gnocchi before it is filling and he is being well fed while he is here.
Thursday 4th November
In Lancefield it is remote and quiet we have a self contained cabin and the Managers are very friendly and helpful (Dave and Bev). I am enjoying it much more here than at the B&B in Bacchus Marsh.
The countryside you will see when I post pics is very similar to back home. We are near the Macedon Ranges.
We went to Melbourne on the train today and there on time not like ours three hours late but on time, went to pancake parlour and i stuffed my self with pancakes and maple syrup. hhhhhmmmm.....
i also went into the Melbourne Tourist Information centre we picked lots of flyers and information books on what is around Melbourne and Victoria. We had to go downstairs to access the centre and it was huge inside they had some great maps displayed on the walls so you could see what was in Victoria. There was lots of aussie souvenirs stuff saw some aboriginal didgeridoos.
The weather has been shit and it was still cold and windy this morning...but as the day has gone on it has fined up and has been warm ...we are expecting low 20's over the next week thank god I will be able to get a tan now. at last bay watch here i come.. lol
The spring Carnival is on at the moment and it was Oakes day at Flemington is was cold and you should have seen the sheilas dressed up with barely a thing on ......My eyes were popping out of my head. kept my shades on so Bev wouldn't see where I was a lookin.....We are sitting in a park here in sunbury being showered on by lil curly things off a tree we just about to pack up and head back to Lancefield....my turn to cook again tonight .....
